version of the knotwork class notes. Also, some new
knots based on the "Celtic Lover's Knot" pattern.
5 February 2001--Site re-design to take advantage of V4
browser capabilities and get rid of frames... Also, many
new clip art images!
3 July 2001--A bunch of new knotwork clip art tiles, plus
added images of the basic design patterns for each knotwork
tile...
1 February 2002--Added a new Knotwork source and visual index,
now incorporated into the main Images poage. This allows you to review
and select clip art either by original Insular Celtic source
or basic knotwork/keywork/spiral pattern.
6 May 2002--Added a number of new images to the
clip art section, including many new keywork, "circular"
keywork, knotwork, circular knotwork, triangular, and
combination tiles and borders. Corrected a knotwork template
from Durrow Folio 125v.
30 December 2002--Threw in three new knotwork pattern
tiles, including one from a Viking source.
30 December 2003--Link cleanup, and some new spirals!
14 December 2004--More link clean up, move to verizon.net
4 February 2005--Added left/middle/right border images, plus
some new borders/panels and a couple of updated keywork tiles...
10 March 2014--Long overdue freshening and move to
Mihaloew.Guru/celtic site hosted on AWS S3
29 November 2015--Added 18 new tiles to the knotwork and circular
interlace pages. Also added new sections to the tutorial pages covering
non-square grids (including annular knotwork adaptations), and updated the
section concerning doubled knotwork.
16 May 2020--Added 500 (!?!) new
border and tile clip art images, including a number of animal-based designs
(what G. Bain calls "zoomorphics") and results of some analysis of central-
Asian designs for some art historians in Berlin, Germany. Enjoy!
